Our evening menu showcases simple and traditional Danish dishes, crafted with the finest seasonal ingredients. Rooted in heritage and culinary craftsmanship, every dish is prepared with skill, generosity, and a dedication to great flavors. Made with honesty and seasoned with love – from herring to meatballs with pickles.


EVENING SERVING

Nyhavns Færgekro’s 3-course menu — 425 kr. per person

Starter
Smoked salmon
Smoked salmon topped with Danish “Vesterhavs” cheese, red onion and capers vinaigrette & green asparagus. Served with bread and butter.

Main course
Oxefilet
200 gram oxfilet served with Provencale sauce, bacon-wrapped beans, and french fries.

Dessert
Chocolate cake
Our homemade chocolate cake is made of rich Belgian chocolate. Served with vanilla ice cream and salted caramel and crumble.


SNACKS

Snackboard — 185 kr.
Almonds, olives, Danish cheeses, serrano ham, chorizo, mini meatballs, mint & cucumber raita, and pickles. Served with bread.

Green olives in our homemade rosemary & garlic marinade — 55 kr.

Dill-cured salmon — 125 kr.
Dill-marinated salmon served with a classic mustard dressing on organic sourdough bread.

Danish tartlets — 120 kr.
Warm Danish chicken and white asparagus tartlets. Also served vegetarian with mushroom filling - 2 pieces. 

Löjrom — 198 kr.
Served with crème fraiche, red onions and lemon, with grilled sourdough bread.

Smoked salmon salad — 165 kr.
Mixed salad with smoked salmon, cucumber, radish & Færgekroens dressing.

White asparagus — 198 kr.
Served with hollandaise sauce, hand-peeled shrimp, and puff pastry.


MAIN COURSES

Danish tartlets — 175 kr.
Warm Danish chicken and white asparagus tartlets. Also served vegetarian with mushroom filling - 3 pieces. 

Celery steak — 195 kr.
Thinly sliced celery with avocado, feta, lemon, and pumpkin seeds.

Butterfried plaice — 230 kr.
Butterfried plaice served with sugar snaps and butterfried potatoes. Choose between parsley sauce and butter sauce.

Fried Pork belly with parsley sauce — 215 kr.
Fried pork belly served with pickles, new potatoes, and parsley sauce.

Ox filet — 275 kr.
200 grams of ox filet served with Provençale sauce, green asparagus wrapped in bacon, and french fries.

Traditional Danish meatballs — 195 kr.
Pan-fried meatballs made from minced pork. Served with red cabbage, brown sauce and butterfried potatoes.

Færgekroens burger — 175 kr.
With beef patty, salad, pickles, and Færgekroens burger dressing. Served with French fries, ketchup, and homemade mayonnaise. Add on bacon & cheese for +15 kr.

Færgekroens portobello burger — 175 kr.
Grilled portobello mushroom marinated in garlic oil, salt, and pepper. Accompanied by French fries, ketchup, and homemade mayonnaise.


DESSERTS

Traditional rhubarb trifle — 95 kr.
Homemade trifle with rhubarb compote served with whipped cream, vanilla cream, and macaroons.

Chocolate cake — 95 kr.
Our homemade chocolate cake is made of rich Belgian chocolate. Served with homemade vanilla ice cream, salted caramel, and crumble.

Cheese plate — 95 kr.
Three kinds of cheese served with compote of the day and crackers.

Fried fillet of plaice served with Danish ‘remoulade’. Choose between French fries or potatoes.

With beef salad, and tomatoes. Served with french fries, ketchup, and mayonnaise.
