Unique Venue with Historical Charm

Our event spaces are located in one of Nyhavn’s oldest buildings, dating back to the 1600s — a place where history truly comes alive. At Nyhavns Færgekro, you’ll find charming and characterful rooms in the heart of Copenhagen, ideal for memorable private events.

Ground Floor – Lively and Laid-Back Atmosphere

On the ground floor, you will find two open event spaces that are part of the restaurant itself. These rooms are full of personality and historical details — including the original marble floor from the old Dagmar Theatre and a spiral staircase salvaged from a Frederiksberg tram. Together, these elements create a warm and atmospheric setting.

The vibe here is relaxed and vibrant, with the cozy charm of a traditional Danish inn and views of the lively Nyhavn canal just outside. These rooms are ideal for informal gatherings, lunches, or dinners where you want to enjoy the unique energy that defines our house.

• Nyhavn 5 (ground floor): up to 50 guests

First Floor – Private and Atmospheric Rooms

Upstairs, on the first floor, we offer two beautiful private dining rooms – perfect for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion where you want an intimate and personal experience.

The ceilings are high, and natural light pours in through the large, historic windows – each with a story to tell. This very building once housed the offices of the White Star Line — the shipping company that sold tickets for the Titanic. On a sunny day, if you look closely, you can still see “New York” and other destinations etched into the glass as a reminder of a bygone era.

• Combined: up to 100 seated guests

Food Made with Love and Tradition

Our banquet menus offer classic Danish cuisine made from scratch. Whether you're planning a cozy lunch with freshly made smørrebrød or a festive dinner with a two- or three-course menu, we’ll help tailor the perfect culinary experience for your event. We offer a wide selection of beverages – including up to 20 varieties of homemade snaps (aquavit), infused with seasonal berries, herbs, and spices. A unique and personal way to round off the meal.

Our menus change with the seasons, and we’re happy to help you create a menu that suits both your taste and the occasion.

• For lunch, choose from our popular lunch platter, the classic “Øresund Plate,” or an assortment of traditional Danish smørrebrød – all prepared with care and respect for tradition.

• For dinner, we offer a customizable banquet menu. Choose from our signature dishes and create a menu that suits both the mood and your guests’ preferences.

• To accompany your meal, we serve a broad selection of drinks – from wine, beer, and soft drinks to our handcrafted aquavits. With up to 20 unique infusions made in-house, there's always something to surprise and delight.
